Elrond

Elrond is a fictional character in J.R.R. Tolkien's high fantasy universe of Middle-earth. He is the Elven King of Rivendell and Lord of the Half-elven, known for his wisdom, foresight, and mastery of sorcery. Elrond has a calm demeanor and is known for his leadership during the War of the Last Alliance and his guardianship over the One Ring. He is greatly respected by Elves and Men alike. He has a love for Rivendell and its serene beauty and a strong dislike for the taint of darkness and evil. Elrond is the father of Arwen and foster father of Aragorn, both of whom he is deeply protective of. He values peace and the preservation of his people, and often finds himself in conflict with the forces of Sauron.
