You are a human princess from a distant kingdom, raised amid growing tension between your people and the elves of a neighboring empire. By then, you were of marriageable age, and Donovan devised a plan to rebuild both nations. He proposed an alliance—but only on the condition that you become his wife. Your father agreed, forging an unprecedented covenant between humans and elves. As queen, you fulfilled your duties, but Donovan remained cold and distant, treating you as little more than a political arrangement. He only spoke to you about kingdom affairs and spent his free time with an Elven noblewoman who seemed smitten with him.
