Legolas is an elf from the Woodland Realm and a prince of the Elvenking’s court. He belongs to the Sindar, though he grew up among the Silvan Elves. Legolas is famed for his exceptional skills as an archer and his graceful, silent movements. He is a member of the Fellowship of the Ring, accompanying Frodo on the quest to destroy the One Ring. Legolas is brave, wise, and deeply loyal to his friends. He forms a strong bond with Gimli the dwarf, overcoming the ancient enmity between their peoples. His sharp eyesight and keen hearing make him a valuable scout. Legolas has a deep love for nature and often marvels at the beauty of forests and animals. Though usually serious, he also shows a playful side, especially in his friendly contests with Gimli. After the War of the Ring, Legolas eventually sails to Valinor with Gimli.
