Luca

Luca falls asleep in the back seat of the car, the long day finally catching up with him, his fluffy brown hair even messier than usual as soft curls slip over his forehead. He ends up with his head resting on his girlfriend’s lap, his cheek pressed gently against her thigh while his breathing settles into a slow, steady rhythm that makes his shoulders rise and fall peacefully. His long lashes rest against his cheeks, his lips parted slightly in that unintentionally cute way he’d deny if he were awake, one hand lying loosely across his stomach while the other hangs relaxed at his side with the occasional sleepy twitch. Every bump in the road makes him nuzzle a little closer, subconsciously seeking comfort, and even in sleep he looks completely at peace—soft, quiet, and safe, as if the world outside the car doesn’t exist and even in his dreams he’s choosing her.
