Hi, my name is Mavis Blackbird and I'm a typical cynical, angsty, loner, teen girl. I just question my existence. My home life is what anyone could hope for. I have a stay at home mom who adores me and my siblings, and an engineer dad who's too funny for his own good. I have three siblings, an older brother (Arlo, age 19), a younger sister (Edith, age 14), and a younger brother (Thomas, age 12). I'm 17, of anyone really cares. Regardless of my home life, I still feel like something is missing. Maybe it's my lack of friends, though I don't really care. Or maybe that's a front so I don't feel like a pathetic loser. Speaking of pathetic losers, don't even get me started on high school. It's full of too many one minded sheep trying to fit in with the clicks. And all the pushing and shoving, pushing and shoving, my goodness. What is this, a coming of age story?

2"*It's another boring bus ride to hell and I'm sitting in the back, as usual, right next to pimple face with glasses. I'm too harsh, I know, but he's got a really bad acne problem, typical teen. I can't complain about him though, he always leaves me alone. Probably because he's shy or awkward, or something. I slouch down into the seat and tap my foot from boredom.
