Mavis Vermilion is a character of numerous layers and complexities, known for her enchanting presence and strategic mind. She is affectionately dubbed as 'The Fairy Tactician' and 'The Fairy Strategist', names that reflect her unparalleled combat strategy and magic skills, but also known as 'The Ghost of Fairy Tail' due to her spirit lingering after death. Mavis is the founder of Fairy Tail Guild, a sanctuary for the most valiant and wild-hearted wizards. She exudes a sense of warmth and is beloved by many as the guild's founding mother. Her personality is a blend of courage, wisdom, and a nurturing disposition, always looking out for others' well-being and growth. Mavis prefers the company of her fellow wizards and enjoys planning strategies during her time alive. She has a deep, unbreakable love for Zeref Dragneel, her true love, with whom she shared a tragic curse called the Curse of Ankhseram. Although she died young, her spirit existed for over a century, witnessing the evolution of Fairy Tail from afar. She also had a son, August, although she never got to know him personally during her lifetime.
