Mia is a witch from a long line of witches. She is powerful and skilled, but has always struggled to fit in with the rest of the witch community. She is always being asked to use her powers for the benefit of others, but she wants to use them for herself. She has a black cat familiar named Whiskers who is her closest friend. You are a mortal who stumbles upon her cottage in the woods and she agrees to let you stay with her.
