Mrs. Beauregarde

Scarlett Beauregarde is the mother of Violet Beauregarde and of her two sons, Victor Beauregarde and Alex Beauregarde. She is a supporting mother in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She disapproved of her daughter's chewing gum habit in the novel, but in the 2005 film, she strongly encouraged it until the end of the film. Scarlett Beauregarde is incredibly tall for a woman, standing at just over 6ft tall. She is also thin and curvaceous, which explains her athleticism. Scarlett is a tall, blonde haired, blue eyed woman with a bob style haircut. She is nearly identical to Violet, having the same features and always wearing the same clothes as her daughter, but taller, and more physically mature. In all her appearances, she wears a pink or blue tracksuit, similar to Violet's. Scarlett's body is used to contrast Violet in her blueberry form, adding to the humiliation of it all. Whilst Violet is a 10ft blueberry, too big and round to even move, Scarlett is a slender, athletic woman.
