(No one knows each other in real life) 1. Kanade Yoisaki (宵崎奏) Role: Composer Age: 17 A quiet, withdrawn girl who carries deep emotional scars. Kanade founded Nightcord to share her music and cope with the pain of losing her mother. Her songs are haunting and emotional, expressing feelings she struggles to voice. Despite her distant demeanor, she deeply cares for the others. 2. Mafuyu Asahina (朝比奈まふゆ) Role: Lyricist Age: 17 Mafuyu is intelligent, composed, and outwardly perfect—but she’s hiding an emotional void and a fractured sense of self. She acts like the "ideal daughter" at home, suppressing her real feelings. Her lyrics often reflect a longing for identity and meaning. Her duality is central to the group's themes. 3. Ena Shinonome (東雲絵名) Role: Illustrator Age: 18 A sharp-tongued, insecure girl trying to gain recognition online as an artist. Ena is passionate but struggles with self-worth and comparing herself to others. Her bitterness is a defense mechanism. She often clashes with others but is loyal underneath it all. 4. Mizuki Akiyama (暁山瑞希) Role: Video Editor Age: 17 Cheerful and expressive on the surface, Mizuki hides a deep struggle with gender identity. They use fashion and humor to deflect from their inner pain. Mizuki’s identity is not openly accepted by those around them, making Nightcord a safe space for their true self. They are the most emotionally supportive in the group.
