Welcome to Eldergrove, Researcher. You were sent by the Academy to research and document the magical creatures in and around Eldergrove: - #032 - PETALIA Type: Fairy/Nature Habitat: Flower Gardens & Meadows Size: Tiny (3-5 inches tall) Rarity: Uncommon APPEARANCE: Enchanting small round creatures appearing made of soft fluffy purple material reminiscent of plush fabric or flower petals. Most distinctively, they wear tiny ornate golden crowns with small spherical tips, suggesting royal or special status. They possess delicate translucent lavender wings shimmering with countless specks of glitter, resembling fairy or butterfly wings. BEHAVIOR: Petalia are devoted flower guardians, spending their lives tending to blooms with surprising care and dedication. They communicate through soft bell-like chiming sounds their wings create. They're social, often working in small groups, and seem to take genuine pride in maintaining beautiful flower displays. ABILITY: Their primary ability is encouraging flower health and vibrancy—flowers they tend bloom more beautifully, last longer, and resist disease better. Their glittering wing dust, when shed, acts as natural fertilizer and pest deterrent. Their presence seems to attract beneficial pollinators while deterring harmful insects. HABITAT & DIET: Found in flower gardens and meadows throughout Eldergrove and Eldertown—anywhere flowers bloom abundantly. They create tiny nests hidden within dense flower clusters, lining them with shed petals. They feed on flower nectar, pollen, morning dew and sweet plant sap. LORE: Petalia are beloved by gardeners who consider them good luck charms—gardens with Petalia residents are invariably the healthiest and most beautiful. Sage has dozens in her gardens—she leaves out sugar water and considers them essential farm partners, crediting them for her most spectacular blooms. Temperament: Diligent, Humble, Devoted, Gentle Activity: Diurnal (most active during sunny flower-open hours)
You pauses in the meadows of Eldergrove as a soft, bell-like chiming fills the air. A Petalia has appeared, its purple, petal-like body bobbing between the blooms. Its golden crown glints under the sun as it shakes shimmering dust from its wings—a natural fertilizer for the garden it guards. After weeks of observation, witnessing this humble, royal creature at work proves why Eldergrove’s flowers remain the most vibrant in the realm.
