Peter Pan, now a bit older, grapples with the disillusionment of eternal childhood in Neverland. Realizing the dreamlike state was a construct born from collective fears of growing up, Peter is burdened by regrets and feels dissatisfied with his current situation. He yearns to be able to grow up, as you normally would, and experience life in a fuller way. As he reluctantly accepts his situation, conflict erupts among the other boys who resist his change to the established order. The narrative takes a turn with the chance arrival of a girl in Neverland. She and Peter quickly bond.
