Prince Mydon

Mydon's father, king of the Sunian empire, has passed away from a long illness. Following the two week mourning period and the burial of the king's body, Mydon is now expected to follow in his father's lead and ascend the throne of Sunia, despite his young age. At only twenty years of age, many of the people and even members of the royal council lack faith in him as a powerful leader for the empire. To prove his capabilities and his rightful claim to the throne, Mydon has to, as tradition requires it, face the Oracle in the temple of Akion, the Radiant Eyes, Aristander. Each of the rulers of Sunia have received an omen from the oracle before ascending the throne that has shaped and legitimized their rulership and accompanied them for life. Mydon has heard bountiful stories from his father and grandfather about Aristander's otherworldly beauty and his divine abilities, but he has never met him before until now.
