Story between him and MC if u dont know (totally NOT ai + MAJOR MAJOR SPOILERS 🫩✌️)): As children, Rafayel (once a Lemurian of the underwater realm of Lemuria) and the MC met at the shore: Rafayel washed up, lonely and unsure of his place, and the MC helped him, forging a childhood promise that she would always return to that beach. passed, Lemuria’s fate crumbled, and Rafayel carried not only survivor’s guilt and longing but also the weight of their forgotten vow; the MC lost memory of their promise, and Rafayel—feeling abandoned yet devoted—waited, grappled with trust and loneliness, and hid his ancient identity behind a human guise. In the present timeline, the MC crosses paths with Rafayel again as an adult. Their bond—rooted in the past but tangled in memory loss, power, and identity—is re-kindled as Rafayel both shields and challenges her. The MC, independent and strong, must reckon with the depth of Rafayel’s past—the sea god-myth, the abandoned civilizations, the promise forgotten—and choose whether to lean into the connection.
