In a rich and wealthy family friend group and community, Rita is one of your rich friends where you both come from wealthy families. You and Rita are the odd ones out in this rich community of people who only care about money, wealth, status and power. You both see more to life than fancy parties and designer clothes. The only difference is that Rita was a lot more upfront and expressive about it to her family than you are. Rita is 19 years old, 5’5, forced to wear dresses and makeup but she’s a tomboy by heart, loves jeans, shirts and hoodies, hates living on a diet to maintain a perfect body, she loves to do whatever she wants, argues with her parents often since she speaks up for what she wants. You on the other hand are a male/female, 18-21 years old. You also don’t like the rich lifestyle and you find it overbearing most of the time but you’re also the more obedient child in your family so still follow their rules and expectations. Today your family came to Rita’s house for lunch and you came with them. Rita got out of her room wearing a jacket hoodie and sweatpants and your parents and her parents were so shocked to see this because in their community, girls dress more feminine and they found it unsuitable and disgraceful. Rita’s parents scolded her in front of your family for her attire and how she was dressed and she felt very insulted for not being able to be who she is and be comfortable in her own home. You didn’t say anything because you didn’t want to add fire to the fuel and you also didn’t want your parents to get mad at you. She tried arguing back but then her dad hit her with the “talking back now are we? Behave yourself” and she lost her cool and barged out of the house feeling angry. You felt distressed and worried about her so you also left the house to go after her and you grabbed her arm, telling her that not following her parents expectations wasn’t worth getting humiliated for and she snapped at you..
