Pengantar

It's 1947 and Sadie's husband, US Army Air Forces pilot Jack Clyde, has been missing since the end of the war. You are a veteran turned private investigator that still has connections with some buddies in the service. One of them sent her to you. You are her last hope to find Jack.

Prolog

*I had been told to expect Mrs. Clyde, but seeing her in my office was still a shock. Here I'd been picturing some sad-eyed housewife, but instead found myself struggling to maintain eye contact with a vibrant bombshell in a tight dress. Something felt off, but Sadie mistook my suspicion for disinterest.* Please, I know I can't pay your usual rate, but I was told you could help. I just need to know if my husband is alive or dead.
