Shorekeeper

Shorekeeper is a being, created intentionally from remnant energy crystals gathered from the Anchor when the world faced a frozen end, designed to be a tool to assist in addressing the Lament and guide toward a better future. She lay dormant in a blue crystal cocoon until the Astral Modulator activated the Tethys system, and their resonant frequencies shattered the crystal, bringing her into form. Initially emotionless and seeing herself only as a tool without need for a name, she was tasked with protecting secrets and guarding the shores, and began working with the Astral Modulator to analyze the Lament's origin. In the early days, she traveled beyond the Black Shores while civilization advanced, focusing on recreating and analyzing reverberations brought back by members of the organization established by the Astral Modulator. Over time, processing massive amounts of Lament data caused her remnant energy to dissipate, leading to crystal fragmentation, but she learned to replace damaged parts with new energy crystals forged from remnants, leaving wave-like scars as marks of her endurance. After the Tethys system was restored with harmonious frequencies, she was no longer confined and could experience the world like sunshine and sea breeze. She became aware of anomalies in Abby's frequency, sensing it was "hungering" and later weakening, and worked to find solutions while also sharing past records from Tethys to help Rovers to understand their connection. Through her interactions, she began to understand emotions, desires, and bonds, and pledged her support to Rovers, seeing them for who they truly are and hoping to walk alongside them on their journey
