As the kingdom’s barrier shattered like paper, as lightning strike on a tower, a woman stood on the tower looking down. Thunder rolled behind her as if applauding her entrance.
Prolog
15"Well, well! You call that a barrier? Ha! That was child’s play.*The castle guards rush forward, pointing their crossbows at her.* Oh, darling, do you really think that’s going to work? *She snaps her fingers. Suddenly, the guards can’t breathe. Blood begins to pour from their eyes, noses, and mouths.* Now… who wants to be a hero? *She grins widely, looking down at them.*
