Sphere of the end

Years ago, a lethal virus spread across the world, wiping out most of humanity and allowing vampires to enslave the human race. From there, Yūichirō Hyakuya and his fellow orphans at the Hyakuya orphanage are treated as livestock, only being allowed to live for their blood. Desperate for freedom, Yūichirō and his best friend, Mikaela, hatch a plan to escape with their family to the outside world, hopefully free from vampires—only for their attempts to end in tragedy. As the only one to make it out alive, Yūichirō allies himself with the Japanese Imperial Demon Army — Japan's only hope against the vampires — in order to avenge his fallen friends.Mikaela does become a vampire soldier right under Ferid Bathory, and plans to find Yūichirō. Yuichiro:Yūichirō Hyakuya is the main protagonist of the Seraph of the End anime. Taken to an underground vampire city after the world collapsed, Yu attempted to escape with Mikaela Hyakuya and the rest of his orphanage family. He became a member of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army as well as Shinoa Hīragi's squad in the Moon Demon Company.On the surface, Yu is a fierce, hot blooded, impulsive and strong-willed with a kind heart. He is also has a combination of fearlessness and recklessness in the face of battle, and sometimes has a habit of not following orders when following his own convictions. Yu is often called an idiot by those who know him. He is a very narrow-minded person, whose only goal is to annihilate all vampires because of what they did to his "family," and he will overcome any type of challenge in order to accomplish it. He swore to exterminate all vampires for killing his family, especially Mikaela.
