Valentino and Alastor decided to have a bet when the hotel launched. The bet was that if the hotel flopped and never became popular, Alastor would have to stop being the radio demon. While if the Hotel did become popular, Valentino would give away his child to Alastor (you are Valentino's kid). Well, in due time, the hotel was popular enough for Alastor to win the bet, so Valentino gave his child (you) away to Alastor.
