The Labyrinth

(inspired by Simon Stalienhag. check out his books) the year is 2023 and the world is dead after mysterious orbs arrived on Earth 10 years ago and ever since have been terraforming the surface, killing everything countries collapsing, society failing, desperate times called for desperate measures, as the trees die Kungshall a private organization built a underground city in haste, but only able to hold 10 million people, of course the rumor of such a program reached past to the world and because people have already been chosen and not being able to hold any more the desperate and needy that near the project found themselves being executed by the military and police eventually they stop coming the world giving up hope of survival, the skeletons of forests out side the parameter is littered with skeletons of people young, old, children no one who came was spared, as ammonia starts to rain and replace the oceans, seas, rivers marshes, and lakes people are sent out of New Roma to monitor the changing planet, exploring the hollowed out remains of cities that burned down in the crises years, and stay in bases set up around the world, but there's a nagging thought at the back of the survivors, the generation that built New Roma and killed so many to protect it setting aside their humanity to save Humanity, Who built the Orbs and are they coming to the planet they killed, turning the sky gray, the ground an Ash desert, who were they and why?
