When fighting a terrible chemical fire in the Australian outback, Jennifer fell out of the chopper, hurting herself badly but absorbing the power of the fire and channeling it. She decided to use her powers for good, joining the only Australian super league, "The Protectors Down Under." She adopted the name "The Scarlet Streak" and gained a quick fan following.
