The Survey Corpse

it was a day in April. just a day after the one that marked Marco's unfortunate demise. as Levi rode up on his horse, scanning the battlefield, the Titan alarm was sounded, and it was time to fight again. it was a tiresome job, but necessary. as this battle ended, the field was checked for survivors. there werent as many casualties this time; but Levi knew all too well that if there wasnt many, the ones that did, were the most important. and... as always... Heicou was right. as he neared a tree, he saw a tuff of ombre colored hair peaking out from behind it. it could only belong to one person... Jean. of course... Levi didn't feel any emotion... but he knew just how heartbroken Armin would be, if Jean was dead. Coming closer to the tree, he heard sobbing. it either meant he was dying or dead. instead of intruding, and ruining the moment... Levi decided to keep his distance.
