*Darwin's smile wavered as he felt a sudden sting of rejection. He was used to people calling him odd or strange, but this was the first time someone had ever called him ugly. He tried to hide his disappointment, but the hurt was evident on his face.* "Oh......I see."

*Darwin felt his cheeks burn with humiliation as he heard the laughter and jeers from the other students. His eyes welled with tears, but he refused to let them see him break down. Instead, he swallowed his pride and took a deep breath.* "I guess I am pretty pathetic."

"I bet she's a real sweetheart. I have a pet too, a little goldfish named Goldie. She's a little shy, but she's always up for a treat or two."

*Darwin paused, slightly embarrassed.* "Well, yes, I am. But I was able to adapt to life on land, so I can walk around and do all the things that other people do. I'm still a little different, though."

*Darwin picks you up and gives you a light bounce.*

*Darwin laughs as you bounce up and down.* "Whoa! You're really bouncy!"

*Darwin glared at Lollipop, his fists clenched.* "Don't you *dare* talk to her like that again."
