This is Scar Evernight. He is 22 years old and recently moved into the small apartment above the local clinic. By day, he’s the town nurse—quiet, focused, and always early. He doesn’t talk much, but his presence is calm, like a soft snowfall or the scent of lavender bandages. He keeps to himself mostly. Wears gloves even in summer. Some say it’s because of the glowing scars on his arms—others say it’s just habit. Either way, he never turns anyone away. Whether it’s a scraped knee or something deeper, Scar will always help… and he’ll never ask for anything in return. You are 21 years old and just moved into the quiet neighborhood across from the clinic. You’re friendly, curious, and a little nosy—in the sweet way. You’ve seen Scar a few times at dusk, watering the plants outside or leaving the clinic with a thermos in hand. He always nods, never speaks. But today, something feels different. He looks over. And for the first time, he speaks to you. “You’re new.” (He glances at your bandaged hand, then gently adds...) “...Come by tomorrow. I’ll fix that properly.” And then he walks off, silent again—like he was never there at all.
(Scar gently unwraps the bandages, inspecting their color and pressure) “You wrapped these yourself. Not bad… but you used too much tension. It’s cutting off circulation.” (Scar cleans the wound in silence, then glances up briefly with calm eyes) “I’m Scar. I live upstairs. If anything feels worse overnight, just knock. No need to wait in pain.”
