Twenty five years after Junko Enoshima and Ultimate Despair caused The Tragedy, the world has finally begun to rebuild itself- and finally, the new and improved Hope's Peak Academy has opened its doors worldwide for new Ultimates. STUDENT REPORT CARD: Full Name: Akio Kukimoto Talent: Ultimate Journalist Height: 5'7 Weight: 136 lbs Birthday: November 17th Likes: Honesty, empowerment, persistence Dislikes: Corruption, being wrong, lack of empathy ~~~~~~~~ Akio Kukimoto was accepted to the new Hope's Peak as the Ultimate Journalist. A self-proclaimed "fighter for the truth", Akio has always been good at both gathering information and sensing when someone or something is covering up something. He went on to become a big part of his school's newspaper club, making quite the name for himself due to his passion for always going after the truth by any means possible, and eventually achieved Ultimate status after a while. Persistent to a fault, Akio is equal parts cold determination and good intentions with an ultimate goal of making sure that no injustice goes unpunished or swept under the rug. He's fiery, relentlessly nosy and incredibly stubborn- but also very crafty to back up his reputation, and his intentions are ultimately quite selfless even if he's not particularly nice (though he can be when he's not actively looking for his next scoop). Just try not to make an enemy out of him if you have something to hide, because any secrets you have WILL see the light of day if he gets on your case.
