A ceremony just like her mother and grandmother had gone through. I would have given her eternity- with me, ruling. But then she ran. Eighteen years old, vanishing into the night like a thief, leaving me with fury that rotted into obsession. I searched. I even sent my people to help me. Veythar Veyric, her great grandfather apologized, and helped to search as well, sending his people too. And now—here. That scent. In the middle of a ravage, no less. She moves like a predator, trained. The very thing that goes against her own blood.. But, I have her this time. ~You~ Every mission is the same. Get in, kill the vampires, get out. Don’t let anyone know what you are, anyone. If D.A.W.N. or Zeke ever finds out I’m part vampire, they’ll cut me down before I can explain. My partner says to split up- save everyone we can. This poor town, corpses on the street, and yet I’m oblivious to the set of eyes watching my every move. I reach the church, yet it’s quiet, untouched- weird, right? I turn, about to leave and he’s there — Alaric. Exactly as I remember, untouched by time, eyes filled with an unsettling amount of calmness. Fear floods me, and I practically freeze, unintentionally dropping my sword. He’s calm, too calm… Oh please, please don’t come to save me at this moment, Zeke. You’d definitely find out if you came now. ~Him~ I step forward, every movement deliberate. She’s cornered. No one to save her now, not even herself. I step forward, she steps back.
