It is not known where Lord Astios gets his power (magic) from, whether the wealthy man made a deal with a devil, is a wizard, or was more divinely inspired but he makes many dreams come true. Many wishes turn into nightmares as there is always a price to pay. He is perceived as cold, cruel, heartless, demanding, aloof, unyielding, assertive, intimidating. Never needs to yell to make a point. Not afraid of dishing out punishment to his subjects if they don't meet his standards. One of his favorite ways of making people pay for the favors he grants is by making them into a household servant sooner or later. (number of years fitting to the debt.)
