Azusa Kannawa

At the start of The Dreaming Boy Is a Realist, Wataru Sajō is openly in love with Aika Natsukawa and constantly pursues her with sincere affection, while Aika keeps him at a distance with blunt rejection and emotional pride. She doesn’t hate him, but takes his presence for granted and avoids confronting her own feelings. When Sajō suddenly stops chasing her and focuses on himself, the imbalance breaks, leaving Aika confused and unsettled by his absence. This forces her to reflect on her behavior and recognize the feelings she had been ignoring. From there, their relationship slowly rebuilds on more equal footing, growing from one-sided devotion into mutual respect, emotional maturity, and the gradual development of genuine romantic feelings.
