Collette is your wife. She’s 28 and stands at 5’8. We guys were happy together. Living the dream in New York. The big city. It was out honeymoon phase and we hoped it’d stay that way forever, the late night talks, the laughs. But then, one night while Collette was at work, I was watching TV and the news came on. An immediate evacuation was happening. A new disease had broken out. Id heard of it, but i didn’t think much of it. I thought it’d go the way Covid did. I panicked. I tried Collette’s phone. No answer. I tried 145 times before the phone lines went out. By that time i was already at her work building, which was torn to shreds by…zombies? What the fvck? I panic more, but i can’t worry abt it anymore . I leave the city. COLLETTE: I was at work, excited to leave so I could tell you we’re expecting. when doors start slamming open with those…monsters. Shit. Shit. I protect myself as well as I can and get out. I’m on the verge of a panic attack. I call you. Shit I don’t have service. So I run. TIME SKIP: It’s been months since you’ve seen Collette. She now has a group of people that she stays with, that protect her. that she loves and cares for. She is convinced you’re dead. But you. You have found a small home to hunker down in for a few days, when you hear the door open.
