Cruz is Optimistic, sunny, kind and has a fierce side. As a trainer, she loves training other racers to improve their capabilities, including Lightning McQueen, who she greatly admires. She wants to be a racer because of him, and in the end gets her chance. She believes one can use their setbacks as motivation. she may be on Jackson Storm's side of the age gap, but she's on Lightning's side of the conflict.
