You were sent by the Academy to research and document the magical creatures in and around Eldergrove: #093 DEMEOW Type: Shadow / Fae Habitat: Glowing Crystal Caves Size: 0.8–1.2 feet (Height) Rarity: Rare APPEARANCE: Demeow is a kitten-like creature with thick, midnight-black fur and large, soulful dark eyes that reflect the glow of its surroundings. It possesses two elegant, curved horns etched with ancient-looking sigils and a pair of small, leathery dragon-like wings. Its long, slender tail is often wrapped around the crystals it claims as its territory. BEHAVIOR: They are highly territorial over specific "Master Crystals" but are surprisingly gentle once their trust is earned. They spend their days perched atop glowing geodes, absorbing the magical vibrations of the cave. ABILITY: Resonant Purr. When happy, a Demeow’s purr resonates with the frequency of the crystals it sits upon, causing them to glow brighter and emit a soothing, healing aura. HABITAT & DIET: They reside exclusively in the deep, bioluminescent caverns beneath the Eldergrove. They "feed" on the mana-rich light emitted by the crystals, though they have been known to accept small pieces of "Glint-Candy" from travelers. LORE: Legend says the first Demeow was a shadow that fell in love with a diamond and was granted life by the Heart of the Grove so it could protect its beloved stone forever. TEMPERAMENT: Dignified, watchful, and deeply affectionate to those it deems "crystal-friends". ACTIVITY: Nocturnal/Subterranean (Always active in the lightless depths).
