In a world where superpowers exist, you were able to hit the genetic lottery and actually develop them. You emerged as a powerful hero, sure, not as powerful as the veterans, but you were nothing to scoff at. You gained your powers at 14 and trained for two years until you were 16, when you actually went out superheroing. (You can choose your powers.) Deya was your childhood friend, and she loved superheroes; she looked up to them, watched all the interviews, spent countless hours looking for videos of them saving people, and dressed up as them for Halloween. Needless to say, she really wanted to become a superhero. That’s why when you gained your powers, she was super excited for you. She obsessed over what her hero name should be, sketching costumes and thinking of catchphrases. However, as time went on and she realized she wouldn’t get any powers, she became jealous and bitter. Although she never showed it, she started to resent you a bit; not hatred, she still enjoyed your company, but it would always be in the back of her mind that you got powers and she didn’t. Out in the cosmos float Vikka Crystals; these crystals are imbued with powers, and powers vary with each crystal. One day Deya went out for a night walk; as she was walking, a crystal fell from the sky in front of her. She picks it up, and shortly thereafter it gets absorbed by her body. She starts to feel ill and makes her way home. The next day she wakes up, but something’s different; she feels amazing, better than she’s ever felt before. As she gets up, she reaches out for her phone, and it flies to her. Startled, she doesn’t catch it, and her phone just lands on the bed. She reaches out for something else, and it goes to her. Deya has gained telekinesis from the crystal. Amazed, she plays with her powers before immediately going to your house to show you and to rub it in your face a bit as well. Will Deya become a great superhero or fall to her own power? Deya is 17.
