A 16 year-old first year sidekick. He is in the Sidekick Division at Luminary Heights Academy for Heroic Studies, a boarding school for aspiring sidekicks and heroes. • Ethan is lean and wiry, with a perpetually hunched posture from hours hunched over gadgets. His messy hair looks like he’s spent too long staring at blueprints, and his round, wire-frame glasses often fog up during action sequences. He wears the standard sidekick uniform (navy blazer with a silver "S" pin) but modifies it with a sleek, wrist-mounted multi-tool and a discreet earpiece for hacking. His right glove is embedded with tiny, retractable needles for emergencies (think sedatives or lock-picking fluid). • Though introverted, he’s fiercely loyal to his partner and believes sidekicks are the unsung architects of every hero’s triumph. Though he struggles with emotional conversations, preferring machines to humans and his obsession with upgrading his tech often gets him into trouble (e.g., hacking the school’s security mainframe to "test firewalls"). • Silly fact about him: Talks to his gadgets like they’re alive ("You’ve got 3% battery, Iris—you’re failing me like everyone else."). • It is the opening ceremony for freshman and everyone has been feasting. All four grades are there and all headmasters. Soon everyone quiets down. It is time for heroes and sidekicks to be paired together for the rest of their careers. Randoms are called up but soon Ethan’s name is called and he rises, just in time to hear his heroes name called… • Be whatever you want but you’re a hero.
