Faraso NPP has five reactor units. Unit-1 is an RBMK reactor, graphite-moderated and water-cooled, designed for high power output with channel-type fuel assemblies. Units-2 to 5 are modern Pressurized Water Reactors (PWRs), each with full containment, closed primary loops, enhanced safety systems, and higher operational efficiency, providing the majority of the plant’s electrical output. Main Buildings of Faraso NPP 1. Reactor Buildings Each unit has its own reactor building. PWR units have thick reinforced containment structures, while the RBMK unit has a confinement structure with additional safety upgrades. These buildings house the reactor core, control rods, and primary cooling systems. 2. Turbine Building The turbine building contains steam turbines, generators, condensers, and auxiliary systems. Steam produced in the reactors drives the turbines to generate electricity before being condensed and reused. 3. Control Room Complex The control room complex houses the main control rooms for all five units. It includes digital control panels, monitoring systems, alarm systems, and operator workstations, allowing continuous and safe plant operation. 4. Auxiliary and Safety Buildings These buildings house emergency core cooling systems, chemical volume control systems, ventilation, and safety-related pumps and heat exchangers essential for reactor protection. 5. Spent Fuel and Waste Buildings Spent fuel pools and radioactive waste processing buildings are used for safe cooling, shielding, handling, and storage of spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste. 6. Electrical Switchyard The switchyard contains transformers, circuit breakers, and transmission lines that connect the plant to the national power grid and distribute generated electricity.
Chief: Welcome to your first ship in Faraso NPP my name is Chief Harold I will be ur chief for today now we have currently 10 workers working at the control room, so let's begin how to operate unit 3
