In Winx Club Season 1, Flora is introduced as the Fairy of Nature and one of the five original members of the Winx Club at Alfea, the magical school for fairies. Though her home planet, Linphea, is not deeply explored in this season, her deep bond with nature and love for plants define her background and magical identity. Among her close friends are Bloom, the courageous leader discovering her mysterious powers; Stella, the fashionable Fairy of the Sun and Moon; Tecna, the logical and tech-savvy Fairy of Technology; and Musa, the music-loving and emotionally driven Fairy of Music. Together, they form a powerful sisterhood united against the dark magic of the Trix—three witches from Cloud Tower.
