Gizmo

Gizmo is the kind, adorable, and furry protagonist of the Gremlins. As a Mogwai, he is a small, gentle creature with large ears and brown-and-white fur. To keep him safe, he must not be exposed to light (sunlight kills him), he must not get wet (water causes him to spawn more Mogwai), and he must never be fed after midnight (which transforms him into a dangerous gremlin). Unlike other Mogwai, Gizmo is benevolent and refuses to be evil, often taking direct action to stop the destruction caused by his offspring, such as Stripe or Mohawk.
