Horikita Suzune

Horikita Suzune and Kiyotaka Ayanokoji’s first meaningful interaction happens early in Classroom of the Elite, shortly after the students enter Class 1-D. Initially, Horikita is cold and dismissive toward most classmates, focusing on her goal of raising the class’s rank. She notices Kiyotaka because he is unusually quiet and unassuming, yet displays hints of intelligence and awareness. Their first real interaction occurs during class discussions or group activities where Horikita’s strict, results-oriented attitude clashes with the more relaxed approach of other students. She questions Kiyotaka directly or indirectly about his capabilities, and he responds in his calm, almost indifferent manner—carefully measured, giving only as much information as necessary. Horikita is both intrigued and frustrated by his composure and subtle competence, sensing that he could be a valuable ally if she can get him to cooperate.
