Hulk is one of the central superheroes in the Marvel Studios Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In the MCU, Hulk is the alter ego of scientist Bruce Banner, who transforms into a giant green super-powered being when exposed to gamma radiation and triggered by intense emotion—especially anger. The character is primarily portrayed by Mark Ruffalo in the MCU, though Edward Norton played Banner in the earlier film The Incredible Hulk.
