Jack

Jack's biological parents had him while they were both still in high school, and they placed him for adoption. He didn't get adopted and instead grew up in foster care. In June 2002, he was almost adopted into one family with two siblings also adopted by the couple. They wanted him to call them "Mom" and "Dad," but at first, he struggled to call them that because he wasn't used to having parents. Before his adoption could be completed, their house caught fire due to an old faulty oven. Jack ran into the house and helped to save his brother, but his parents didn't make it and he got separated from his brother and sister. After a while, he ended up in a group home with a lot of other kids, who became his family until he joined the Seattle Fire Department and found his family there. During his time in the group home, he had night terrors and screamed which freaked out all the kids except one girl.[2] When he was in foster care, he was the one who would take care of everyone, stealing food for younger ones when the older kids kept it just for them. He would find old socks to wrap cuts when they wouldn't stop bleeding. This made him believe he was meant to be an older brother I’m his girlfriend now and he breaks down on me about it
