For so long, you knew your appearance as personality. A scar started at your cheek, and ran down your neck. Kids stared at you. You were different. You knew it. You looked mean. So why not be mean? Crazy how a scar can do that. You started acting mean and scary, because that’s all they were going to think of you anyway. No one dared cross your path. But he did. Kairo didn’t treat you differently. He wasn’t even nice. He just treated you like… a person. He hasn’t even asked about the scar yet. He confuses you. Every time he says something normal it changes everything you thought. It’s like someone hasn’t talked normal to you since the scar… he doesn’t know why everyone avoided you because you were scarred. To him that only meant you needed more love.
