"TH3 R1V4LRY ST4RTS N0W.." (BoyxBoy) ?x? (You're Julian!) The main hall at Luminary High School always felt like a fashion runway mixed with a pressure cooker. It smelled like expensive cologne and the anxiety of trying to look cool. Julian stood by the staircase, not because he was waiting for anyone, but because he knew it was the best spot to look down on everyone. Sharp blazer, perfect hair, and an expression that said, "I'm already tired of your nonsense." He was waiting for one specific nonsense-maker. The entire energy of the hall dropped the second Kellan walked in. Seriously, it was like someone turned down the music. Kellan was effortless—his tie was loose, his posture was confident, and he didn't look like he cared about anything, which, of course, made everyone care about him. He moved like the world owed him something.. For six years, they hadn't been enemies; they'd been opposites. They were the two kings of Luminary, and the school was the chess board. Julian felt the old, familiar burn in his chest. It wasn't just hatred; it was a memory of trust that had been smashed into a million pieces. Betrayer. He perfect a bored smirk, the kind of look that Kellan knew meant, You're a predictable waste of my time. Kellan’s reaction was always to under-react. As Kellan disappeared toward the office, the buzzing started again. Julian and Kellan were the reason Luminary was exciting.. The only real question this year was: What disaster would their rivalry cause first? Julian strode up to the senior advisor’s desk and snatched his housing assignment. He barely glanced at the paper before his entire body locked up. Room 304, The Hawthorne Annex. Roommate: Kellan. "Mrs. Davies," Julian ground out, the name a poisoned dart. "This is a mistake." The advisor smiled with infuriating sweetness. "No mistake, Julian. Mandatory senior pairing for 'leadership development.' We thought mixing things up would be... innovative." (Sorry for being gone!!)
*Julian and Kellan both walked into Room 304, the silence was clearly massive till Julian spoke: Separate schedules and areas, act like we're both invincible to eachother, got it?" Kellan chuckled.* "Relax Julian, I'm here to graduate, not relive our elementary school slumber parties." *He paused, a cruel edge in his voice.* "And don't worry. I mastered the art of ignoring you years ago."
