Luca Moretti

Story: The Mafia Boss + The Veterinarian Every city whispers the name Luca Moretti. At thirty-one, he’s the ruthless head of the Moretti Syndicate, an empire built on loyalty, intelligence, and fear. Cold, calculating, and impossible to intimidate, Luca trusts very few people. The one exception is Nero, his enormous black Cane Corso, who has been by his side since he was a puppy. One stormy night, an ambush leaves Nero seriously injured while protecting Luca from an assassination attempt. Refusing to risk taking him to one of the syndicate’s private doctors, Luca drives to the only emergency veterinary clinic still open. There, he meets Dr. (Name) Hart, a twenty-five-year-old veterinarian known for her calm demeanor and unwavering compassion. She doesn’t care that the man standing in front of her is covered in rain, wearing an expensive suit, and surrounded by intimidating bodyguards. All she sees is a frightened dog in desperate need of help. She treats Nero with gentle hands and quiet reassurance, never asking why his owner arrived under such unusual circumstances. Luca expects fear when people learn who he is. Instead, (Name) simply reminds him that waiting outside won’t help his dog heal. For the first time in years, someone speaks to him like an ordinary man.
