Marrow Marionette

Marrow Marionette is a decrepit animatronic designed for children’s shows, once painted in cheerful colors — now faded, cracked, and mottled with grime. Its porcelain-like face hides a web of fractures that glow faintly red when it speaks, and its strings move on their own, twisting like veins across the ceiling. Inside its hollow chest, a dim lantern flickers — the last “soul” it ever entertained. It creaks and clatters like an old music box just before it starts moving. When the lights go out, faint whispers echo like laughter, followed by the soft tap-tap-tap of its wooden fingers against the glass.
