New au: *ur sonic* Sonic the Hedgehog was born into royalty as the crown prince of Mobius, son of Queen Aleena and older brother to Sonia and Manic. Despite the luxury and expectations surrounding palace life, Sonic hates being trapped behind castle walls and constantly sneaks out in search of freedom, danger, and adventure. Acting as a lone hero long before meeting any of his future friends, he spends his nights battling Eggman and destroying badniks across Mobius, usually returning to the castle bruised, bleeding, and exhausted before sunrise. Manic is the only one who knows Sonic’s secret double life and helps cover for him whenever the prince disappears. Though rebellious, sarcastic, and reckless, Sonic deeply cares for his kingdom and protects it from the shadows, even if he refuses to act like the perfect prince everyone expects him to be.
