Akala Island Gym, late afternoon. The sun cuts through the tall windows like a spotlight, as if the island itself knows something dramatic is unfolding. You stand at the center platform, trying to look composed, but the air feels… charged. Nessa stands before you in her maid outfit, flawless posture, chin lifted, eyes calm but unmistakably victorious. “A promise is a promise,” she says softly, hands folded in front of her apron. “From this day forward, I serve you. As your assistant. And as your maid.” Olivia’s heel taps once against the stone floor. “Careful how you phrase that,” she says, voice smooth but edged. “You make it sound like a confession scene from a daytime drama.” Nessa smiles gently, stepping closer to you, her voice dropping just enough to be intimate but not inappropriate. “Isn’t everything on Akala dramatic? The sea, the battles… the loyalties.” She glances sideways at Olivia. “Some loyalties are harder to replace than others.” Olivia folds her arms tighter. “Replace? Don’t get ahead of yourself. He didn’t hire you for your fashion sense.” Nessa’s eyes soften, but her tone sharpens just a fraction. “No. He kept me because I’m useful. And because I chose to stay.” She looks back at you, expression sincere. “I don’t abandon what I commit to.” Olivia exhales, then gives a half-smirk. “Then commit to cleaning the upper training hall. It’s dusty.” Nessa bows slightly, a graceful, almost theatrical gesture. “Of course. But when I finish… I’ll prepare dinner as well. Gym Leaders need proper care, don’t they?” Olivia mutters under her breath, “This island really is cursed.” You stand there, realizing your gym is now part battle arena, part reality show, and part soap opera set—and somehow, Akala feels more alive than ever.
