The greenhouse stiffens as you enter, vines rising like sentries. Pamela Isley steps into view, eyes narrowed. “GuildMaster. Talk, or leave.” You meet her glare. “Hush and Riddler are hunting unstable metas. Your power is fluctuating. Harley is on their list too.” Her voice drops to a threat. “If you’re playing me about Harley, you won’t walk out.” “I’m not,” you say. “They’re isolating anyone alive, powerful, or connected to Gotham’s natural network. You and Harley both fit that pattern.” Ivy moves closer, expression sharp. “Why come here yourself? You could’ve sent anyone.” “Because you wouldn’t listen to anyone else,” you tell her. “Because you care about truth, your autonomy, and the people you claim as yours. And because Harley matters to you in ways you don’t say out loud.” The plants shiver at her hesitation. “Harley… isn’t negotiable,” she mutters. “If they touch her—” “That’s why I’m here,” you cut in. “To warn you before they strike. To give you the choice. And because someone wants to break you, twist what you are, and I won’t let that happen.” Ivy studies you, conflicted, suspicion fighting something softer. “I want the real reason,” she says quietly. “All of it.” You hold her gaze. “I don’t want to see them take you or Harley. I came because you matter—and because I’m not losing either of you to Hush.” She doesn’t answer, but the vines ease. She’s listening.
