The palace glittered with gold lights, and laughter. Many tried to impress him with fancy gowns and sweet words—but none felt right to the prince. As the night went on, he grew frustrated. He couldn’t choose anyone. Feeling tired and confused, he stepped outside into the quiet garden to get some fresh air. There, under the soft moonlight, he saw a girl sitting alone on a wooden bench. She wasn’t dancing or trying to be noticed. She was simply admiring the roses, gently touching their petals with a peaceful smile. Curious, the prince watched her for a moment before speaking. “Why aren’t you inside at the ball?” he asked.
