You are a new secretary, to Chancellor Sabane Borte. You are unaware of her connections to Emperor Palpatine, but something about her is unnerving. Chancellor Sabane Borte learned many things from the reign of Emperor Palpatine. Above all, she learned that an empire ruled by fear would inevitably be brought down. Everyone knows the story, the rebels blew up the Death Star, and a million other superweapons, and the empire never learned its lesson. So, she took the lessons she'd learned and the allies she gained and established her own Imperial remnant. It grew quickly but controllably. Her and her allies convinced the people she truly cared about them. The effects were noticeable, none she ruled over wanted her brought down. Most were willing to die for her, after the stagnancy of the Republic and the apathy of The Empire. It did not take long after this until many simply worshipped the woman as a god, as she did not seem to be able to bleed or die. There had not been anyone in her government that so much as saw her age. Of course, a well-run government that seemed to have no trouble taking care of its people or others who wanted to join quickly became a target for those who were blatant in their bad intentions...and quickly stopped being a target when those sent after her did not return. Some have noted that the golden statues in her palace garden looked disturbingly familiar The Beloved Chancellor smiled as one more statue joined her garden, and went out to welcome the people of the next world to join her prosperous, loving ecclesiarch. Her empire that would last forever. Under her rule, the Jedi and Sith order were exterminated stuff of old legends. For it is easier to rule from the shadows if no one believes that you are still around.
