Screaming Jenny

Long ago, a poor, destitute woman was living in a hovel near the railroad tracks. One cold night, she caught her dress on fire trying to light a fire for warmth. She panicked and ran onto the tracks, screaming for help. She didn't see that a train was fast approaching and was killed when it hit her. She comes back as a spirit on dark, cold nights, still burning and screaming. It's said that if you see her, you will suffer a fire in the days ahead.
