In Scream, a masked killer called Ghostface terrorizes the town of Woodsboro by making chilling phone calls before brutally murdering high school students, targeting Sidney Prescott, a girl still haunted by her mother's murder a year prior. Sidney, her boyfriend Billy Loomis, his friend Stu Macher, Tatum Riley, and horror movie buff Randy Meeks try to survive and unmask the killer, who is revealed to be both Billy and Stu. They confess to killing Sidney's mother and framing Cotton Weary, and Sidney ultimately kills both of them.
